Frequently asked questions
How should I store it?
Keep it out of direct light and heat — the amber glass bottle helps protect the oil. It is best used within a few months of opening, like any pressed seed oil.
How is it upcycled?
After the blueberries are pressed for juice and jam, the leftover seeds are dried, cold-pressed and filtered to make the oil. What was once waste becomes a product, with no extra fruit grown for it.
Is it for problem skin?
No. It is a cosmetic — a gentle oil to moisturise and care for the skin as part of an everyday routine. It is not a medicine and not intended to address any skin concern.
Does it smell like blueberries?
No — the oil has a very faint, slightly nutty scent from the pressed seeds, not a sweet fruit smell. We add no fragrance, so the scent is subtle and disappears quickly.
What does it feel like on the skin?
Light and fast-absorbing. A few drops warm in the palm and pat onto a clean, damp face. It sinks in quickly without a heavy or greasy film, so it suits daily use.
What is blueberry seed oil?
It is a facial oil cold-pressed from the seeds of Maine's wild lowbush blueberries — the part of the fruit left over after juicing. Upcycled, light and silky, it is used as a gentle everyday face oil.
